Nexus Gallery is open for all artists who wish to display an exhibition. Great for solos; more or less better for groups. Wide yet narrow space, great rent, and located in the heart of Montreal: the Old Port.

Send out your proposal and pictures of your artworks (JPEGs or other; no big files) Your proposal should include information about yourself and the story behind your current artworks. Each exhibition should be for at least a week or more, and rent cost depending on the duration of your exhibition.

IDENTIFY THE FIVE FLAWS / FIDO - last-minute gallery exhibitions

Two exhibitions I went to see this week. The vernissages to those two were passed, but does not mean they are already down... go and check them out:

IDENTIFY THE FIVE FLAWS

Matt Watson's sketchy drawings and paintings of run-down areas of the city with the uses of recycled papers and unused objects found in junk piles, bringing the sense of stuggle yet blessing for the most essential way of life. At Le Cagibi on the corner of St-Laurent and St-Viateur. Exhibition until n/a.

For more of his works, check out his blog:
www.identifythefiveflaws.blogspot.com

FIDO

Édouard Beaudry's abstract paintings on the subject of Japanese rituals; a beautiful look of textures and patterns and the distractions of his brush strokes give a powerful meaning. At Volver Café Culturel at 5604 du Parc (close to St-Viateur). Exhibition until October 9th.

E-mail him at edouardbeaudry@gmail.com
